You are invited to join Mindful Haven’s Mindful Journaling course exploring The Four Faces of Love: The Brahma Viharas.
The Brahma Viharas are four virtues of love aimed at cultivating the positive mental states of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. This five week online mindful journaling course will explore our innate capacity to love, introduce practices that aid in developing this capacity, and offer practical ways to cultivate it in our everyday lives. Through guided meditation, journaling prompts, and group sharing we will experience how the Brahma Viharas enable us to "keep love at the forefront in all our social encounters, with anyone we meet, no matter how challenging. With loving-kindness we learn how to maintain a healthy goodwill for those who are hostile, to have a balanced compassion for those encountering tragic suffering, to experience a stress-free joy when celebrating others, and to feel an equanimous love for those we cannot help." -Gil Fronsdal Insight Meditation Center
